How To Keep The Kids Occupied When Camping by Volkswagen Camper Adventures

We hope that you enjoyed our 'Keeping Kids Amused' blog that we published last week in collaboration with our friends Volkswagen Camper Adventures. This week, we're very pleased to be publishing Volkswagen Camper Adventures tips for 'Keeping Kids Amused'. Enjoy! How To Keep The Kids Amused When Camping I've been asked on numerous occasions, how do I keep my kids occupied when we go away in the campervan. The truth is, I don't find it too difficult. The majority of times we book a campsite, it's usually because of its local attractions. That may be a beach, a theme park, a museum or whatever else we decide we wish to experience. When we are visiting these attractions, the van is only really a space to sleep and eat breakfast, so we don't really spend much time in there. My wife and I have camped at coastal sites ever since our first trip away together, and as a youngster I spent many a holiday at the seaside in my parents caravan, so it

Keeping Kids Amused Whilst Camping We are very excited to again be releasing this months blog in collaboration with our friends over at Volkswagen Camper Adventures. Volkswagen Camper Adventures are a family that love camping, campervanning and caravanning. Next Friday, we will be publishing their blog about 'Keeping Kids Amused whilst Camping'. But if you want to head over to check out their blog, then follow  this link. We;  The Chaotic Campervaners; love camping and campervanning!  But the first time that we felt brave enough to take our son camping was when he was 2 years old. The reason that we were so reluctant to take our son camping was that he is (and always has been) a very active child, who is always on the go and is full of energy! In fact, on this first camping trip, the woman in the next tent told us at the end of our holiday that she had thought that we had twin boys because she didn't think that it could be the same child running around the whol

Charmouth Camping & Caravanning Club Site, Monkton Wyld Charmouth Campsite ,  Monkton Wyld   Deer feeding, fossil hunting, digger driving and lots of animals! We arrived at the Charmouth Camping and Caravanning Club Site in the sunshine ready for a busy (but rather wet) 5 nights of camping. Charmouth CCCS in Monkton Wyld is an award winning campsite with plenty to offer! This site; on the Dorset and Devon border; has approximately 200 pitches, free WIFI, a shop, 2 facility blocks which have toilets, showers & washrooms, a large play area with swings, slides, climbing apparatus etc, a games room, laundry facilities and so much more!  Having pitched our tent, we decided to try out the takeaway pizzas from the amazing onsite pizza van. There are 3 different food vans at different times throughout the week. We ordered a meat feast and a vegetarian pizza, plus also a chicken curry (as they also serve a meat and a vegetable curry). The food was delicious!

The Bunny Whisperer's POV on road trips

The Bunny Whisperer's POV on Road T rips Hi, i'm The Bunny Whisperer, I always get bored on long road trips. I love my 3 bunnys named  Apple, Ginger and Crumpet. (They're all named after food). We only adopt rescue bunnys. I love my bunnys so much that I find it hard to go camping. I also play piano...but back to bunnys. When we were camping at Cheddar someone brought their bunnys there the week before we came!  Crumpet is the small one in the middle Apple is the big one and Ginger is the one closest to Crumpet. But on to road trips... My mum Bluebell brings a car activities bag with books, puzzles, dot to dots, snacks and lots more.   Conrad Berdekin's poem books always put a smile on my face because they are very funny! You can check out his website  here.  ðŸ‘ˆ When I am camping, I am allowed my devices in the morning but not in the afternoon, evening or night time. I am only allowed my phone to listen to music or to my favourite kids podcast called Smash Boom Best.
